Saving objects
With this function you can save a described object in the drawing. If the drawing is saved, the objects saved in it are retained for future sessions.

Within the current drawing, the tree structure displays folders and saved objects.
Select the folder where you want to save the current object. If you choose an existing object, it will be overwritten unless the name is changed.
You can also change objects here. Use the functions from the quick access area or from the context menu (right-click on an object in the tree structure).

The preview shows the object to be saved.
Defines the properties of the object to be saved.
Name
Defines the unique name of the object. If you do not specify a name, the object will be saved as <untitled>.
Please refer to the notes in the section Naming convention for library objects.
Designation
Defines the designation in several languages. You can write the designation directly into the input line in the current national language.
If you want to enter the designation in other languages, you must click the button [...]. The Dialog box Designation is opened, where you can define the designation in multiple languages.
Item
Defines the item number of the assembly. To do this, the Dialog box Item is opened.
Functional description of options

New folder
Creates a new folder in the tree structure. To do so, a dialogue box will appear in which you can enter the name:

Name
Defines the unique name of the folder.
Please refer to the notes in the section Naming convention for library objects.
Designation
Defines the folder designation in several languages. You can write the designation directly into the input line in the current national language.

Opens the Dialog box Designation, where you can define the designation in several languages.

Rename
Changes the name of the selected object. To do so, a dialogue box will appear in which you can change the name:
db_ath_save_object_rename
Name
Defines a new unique name for the selected object.

Remove
Removes the selected object from the tree structure. Only after removing the references can referenced objects or folders containing referenced objects be deleted.

Cut
Transfers the selected object to the clipboard. It can then be moved to another branch of the tree structure. The selected object is only removed after it has been inserted.

Copy
Copies the selected object to the clipboard. It can then be moved to another branch of the tree structure.

Insert
Pastes the contents of the clipboard into the selected area of the tree structure. As the object name is unique, it is incremented if it already exists: object name (1), etc.
Naming convention for library objects
Conformance to the naming convention is important when issuing dedicated object names. Upper and lower case are taken into account when displaying the object names, but are not differentiated during identification. In the following you will find a list of legal and illegal characters.
Legal characters:

If you enter impermissible characters, saving will not be allowed.
OK
Closes the dialog box and saves the object in the specified folder.
Cancel
Closes the dialog box without saving the object.
Objects that have been renamed and newly created folders are kept. Canceling does not reset these changes.
